I’m Dr. Mollie Brennan, naturopathic doctor, and my mission is to help you smoothly transition through big life phases like postpartum and perimenopause, and regain the energy to do things that you want to do. My secret mission is to help you age with strength, purpose, and connection!
I’ve had my own ‘not feeling well’ experiences with Hashimotos, PCOS, and IBS. After graduating naturopathic medical school I was in one of the most unhealthy points in my life (even though I had just intensively learned everything about health in primary care). Burnout, Hashimoto’s flares, and insomnia were my normal. I was white knuckling my health and believed diet was the root cause and I that I had to restrict foods. Perfection stopped me from doing the basic things like a regular exercise routine, and I had a black-or-white approach to health.
But something didn’t resonate. I was seeing women in my practice who couldn’t keep up with unrealistic treatment plans, blamed themselves, and never came back. I used to tolerate the naturopathic practice of doing special testing (often at big price tags), discovering the ‘big secret’ to why you’re so fatigued, and implementing 7 or 8 supplements and diet restrictions. Now I know differently. I want you to feel reassured and hopeful, knowing that how you’re feeling at this stage of life can change and won't last forever.
My approach is creating realistic and practical support plans grounded in evidence, and give you confidence in what you’re doing so you can pursue what matters to you. All with a dose of humour and compassion!
