Rachel, PT

Rachel was born and raised in Ontario, where her passion for sports took root early on through competitive basketball and volleyball. Since the age of 15, she has aspired to become a physiotherapist, motivated by a strong desire to help others achieve their health and wellness goals.

Rachel earned her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from Acadia University, gaining valuable experience as a student therapist for the women’s volleyball team. Her time at Acadia allowed her to work with various sports, including rugby and cheerleading, which enriched her understanding of athletic injuries and rehabilitation techniques. Rachel then went on to complete her Masters of Physical Therapy at McGill University, where she further developed her skills and expertise in the field.

Rachel currently helps out with the Acadia Women’s Volleyball team. Additionally, she has a passion for coaching having led her last team to victory at the U18 Nova Scotia Provincials and serving as a session coach for the U18 Nova Scotia provincial team. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys baking, trying diverse cuisines, and exploring nature while staying active.

Rachel’s treatment approach is patient-centered, holistic, and evidence-based. She focuses on providing individualized care that empowers her clients to achieve their personal health and wellness goals. Rachel is dedicated to supporting her patients on their recovery journeys, helping them understand their body and return to the activities they love.
